About MediaKom

Founded in 1998, MediaKom is a leading communications and service partner for the German healthcare sector, focusing primarily on improving the quality of care in private and statutory health insurers. 

Their services include: bespoke software development, business process outsourcing (BPO), and output management.

Today, MediaKom manages over 550 employees across 6 locations. 

The challenge 

MediaKom originally used a blend of Haiilo and SharePoint 2011 for their intranet and document management needs. 

However, over time these solutions became increasingly unsuitable, unsustainable, and insecure.

Haiilo shifted to a cloud-only deployment model, which clashed with MediaKom’s stringent data protection standards. And it was near impossible to replace their outdated SharePoint platform without over-spending and wasting significant IT and admin resources. 

The solution

MediaKom required a comprehensive, on-premise digital workplace solution. One that matched their budget and data security requirements.

  • Documents for managing their extensive file repository, which is archived and used within the framework of their certified management systems.
  • InfoCapture for intelligently automating internal company processes. 
  • Learning Management System for transferring knowledge to employees in a sustainable, documented manner. 

The outcome 

Thanks to Claromentis, MediaKom can share tailored information and communications to different areas of their company — without risking non-compliance.

There’s no need for in-depth IT knowledge either. Technically savvy “super users” can set up and create company-specific content, processes, and applications completely autonomously. This has enabled the project managers to form and educate over 50 specialist teams within a very short time frame. 

But this is only the tip of the iceberg.

So far, MediaKom has utilized InfoCapture for implementing reminder functions for their contract archives, as well as streamlining their employee evaluation process. The in-built permissioning system ensures that the appropriate users receive the right information at the right time, resulting in fewer bottlenecks.
