Active Directory is commonly used by many of our clients to manage information associated with new hires and exits from their business. The Claromentis Framework has been designed to integrate effortlessly with Active Directory to access important data stored within the system, and create user accounts for all employees.
Once user accounts have been created, authorised administrators are then able to add further information and allocate users to required groups and roles, ensuring that their permission settings are appropriate.
While our support documentation contains configuration options valid for Active Directory and for Novell e-Directory, it has been architected to support a range of other LDAP servers such as OpenLDAP or Samba LDAP server.
The difference between LDAP servers is the way in which they store users accounts and groups information - different servers use different properties to indicate record type "user", "group", account state etc.
We support new custom application projects with an established methodology that focuses on a prototype to define initial specifications, and agile development with a series of reviews through the delivery phase.
Claromentis also fully supports a combination of local and AD accounts in a single system - for example in an extranet customers and suppliers would normally log in via a username and password, while staff members would have single sign on.
