**) There is no XPDF support in some new distributions. In such distros poppler should be used (Poppler is a PDF rendering library based on the xpdf-3.0 code base. http://poppler.freedesktop.org/ ) ***) Depending on your configuration you may use one of this two options or both. Java based search is used if the claromentis data store greater than 10Gb in other cases PHP based search can be used and catdoc can be used instead of Java POI based converters to scan MS Office documents for text data.

Known OS compatibility issues

RHEL, CentOS

The latest Red Hat Enterprise Linux as well as the CentOS and some other linux distributions based on the RHEL sources have too old PHP version (5.1.6 while 5.2 or later required for Claromentis). This issue could be solved by installing latest version of PHP from third party repositories.

Instruction for PHP upgrade on the RHEL based systems

64 bit platforms

Claromentis can run on a 64bit platform, but it does rely on PHP and Zend running in 32bit compatibility mode. 64bit versions of these applications are not yet available from the vendors.

To confirm that the environment has the right libraries and software in place download the file below and install it into the ~/web (home/cla/web or C:\Claromentis\web) directory and rename it by removing the .conf extension and then run it in a browser.
