Claromentis launched an API in 2007 and this has grown significantly to allow developers from around the world to add applications and functionality to the Framework for relevant clients to use.

While you are welcome to request that our own developers code applications and functionality for you – you are not tied to any vendor and open source developers can be recruited on a freelance and very cost effective basis from the many freelance recruitment platforms that now exist on the internet. Open source web applications can easily be added to the Claromentis Intranet Framework, as it is coded entirely in PHP.

Fully permissioned content management of Intranet, extranet and internet pages with distributed administration, approval workflows and scheduled publishing.

Documents

Online application file management, with full version control, permissions, searching and record types. Manages any file types required.

News and Blogs

Fully tagged, searchable, labelled, news feeds and blogs in channels with their own permission. Optionally news channels can have comments enabled – either moderated or open. Ensure users have access to only the news that interests them, or that the company needs them to read.

People

A fully searchable, filterable personnel database with metadata stored to match your needs. People are divided into a sophisticated permission system using their individual name, their group and their role – as well as extranet area. The application contains in built dynamic organisational chart capabilities.

Forum

Fully permissioned forums allow online debate of topics organised into boards. Full forum functionality including optional moderation, subscription and notifications.

Image Gallery

An application for managing image assets, including metadata, tagging, light boxes, collections and the ability to automatically download an image at the required resolution for the media it is required for.

Calendar

A fully permissioned drag and drop calendar. Users can display multiple calendars in one location, or just a single calendar can be placed in the appropriate area – for example a social Intranet calendar on the social section. Mini calendars are fully supported, and many other products automatically create their own calendars – such as sales manager and Project Manager. Events have strong integration to room booking, if required.

Room Booking

Set up meeting rooms, fixed and floating facilities as well as the people responsible for them. Check when meeting rooms are free, book them together with the facilities required. Notifications will be sent for approval of the meeting.

Holiday Planner

A fully featured absence management application with fully configurable absence types, quotas, buy backs, roll-overs and global holiday zones with relevant public holidays. View my team allows the view of all the vacation plans of people in my team, to ensure my vacation requests are reasonable.

Surveys and Polls

A complete survey application for complex surveys such as the annual cultural survey, and a quick poll application to ask a defined set of users a simple question.

Corporate and Personal Links

The home page can contain a resource area provided by the company for permissioned sets of users – for example links to relevant legislation, government or competitor sites as well as deep links into the Claromentis information layer itself. It also allows each user to maintain their own area of particularly useful links.

When these links are other web applications using Active Directory Claromentis can act as a gatweway to all other applications users require, without having to sign on again.

RSS News Reader

RSS New readers are fully supported, and can be displayed in the home page or in any permissioned publish page for authorised users to view.

Widgets and Gadgets

Claromentis has access to hundreds of gadgets that provide additional functionality to the home page. For example these might include traffic web cams, world time clocks, weather reports of the users home town or current local times in the companies global offices.
