The Claromentis Social Project Management Intranet Application combines productivity enhancing tools with social functionality in one secure intranet platform. Known as IdeaSpaces, the intranet application keeps team and project discussions in one central place whilst providing built-in task and event management functionality.

Permission-Based Project Areas

An unlimited number of projects can be created with permission-rights assigned to individual intranet users or groups. Permission-rights are associated with the ability for users to view the project space or inherit full administrator rights. Intranet users can be made aware of the project space by permitting an in-system notification to be automatically sent - this can also be in the form of an invitation as custom notifications can be created.

Collaborative Activity Streams

Project activity streams contain the content generated by intranet users who were assigned permission-rights to join the project space. Ideas, comments or questions can be posted and intranet users can respond to comments on an individual basis. All project members can be kept up-to-date on the progress of the project and efficiently contribute their feedback.

Assign Tasks and Allocate Priority Levels

Tasks associated with each project space can be created, assigned a completion date and allocated a priority level - ensuring that all tasks are effectively coordinated and completed on time. Reoccurring tasks can additionally be created and assigned to intranet users. Once a task has been assigned, the intranet user will receive an in-system notification.

Create Project Events and Meetings

Project events or meetings can be created within each project space with a list view of all upcoming events. Meeting notes and agendas can be added to the Notes section ensuring that intranet users are kept up-to-date and all project information is securely stored in one central location.

Share Files, Links and Documents

Files, links and documents can be attached and shared within the project space eliminating the amount of internal emails being sent back and forth. Intranet users can link to external sources and securely share important project documents and files to gain feedback and to help progress the project further. All attachments can be viewed in the project's activity stream - helping to promote collaboration.

Notify Project Members through Tagging @

Intranet users can tag their colleagues in posts which appear on the project's activity stream creating a socially engaging company intranet. Tagged colleagues will receive an automatic notification to their intranet inbox, making it easier for employees to pose questions and gain answers.

Promote Interaction with 'Hot Topics'

A Project space with ten or more comments within the activity stream is automatically labelled a 'Hot Topic'. The concept of a 'Hot Topic' was established to help users easily identify project spaces which have attracted a large amount of interaction and to promote the project space.

Search Project Spaces and Add Bookmarks

Instant keyword filtering allows for the quick retrieval of project spaces - further filtering by currently bookmarked, archived, categories, and 'hot topics' are available. Tag clouds containing commonly associated words or phrases can also be used to further help with project filtering.
