Some of you may have already noticed that the Claromentis website has had a bit of a revamp. Well today is the official announcement along with our newly designed blog to go with it. It would be great to hear what you think.
This is the phase one launch as there are still many tasks to be completed including a new media room and updating a lot of the old content. You should find however a drastic change to the whole look and feel of the site and our main product pages.
The aim is to bring clarity to our message and reflect who we are and what we do through the site. This phase one launch is a great start and we are looking forward to bringing some new features to it soon. Click the here to go to the website and have a look for yourself.

As part of our strategy Claromentis is revamping the website to try and provide a clearer message of who we are and what we do. The design team has produced three different mock-ups and now comes the challenging task of picking one. It doesn’t necessarily have to be one or the other, we can of course mix and match – take the best bits from all three and come up with a new version. They all adopt a similar layout putting focus on our main product lines using varying slider methods. Have a look and let us know what you think!

I find it interesting that since I started working at Claromentis – an intranet solution provider, I have mainly been working on bespoke applications for clients. The variety of specifications I have seen for these different applications from client to client really highlights the versatility of Claromentis as an intranet and its ability as a framework to grow and adapt to a company’s requirements.
Desk booking for me was a great example of this. The “Hot Desk” system is usually employed by large companies who want to maximise the use of their desks. Essentially employees will work from which ever desk is available on the day rather than have their own personal desk. When employees might work at different times and for different lengths of time this minimizes desk redundancy.
What better way to enhance this system than provide the ability to book desks in advance? This is precisely what the Desk Booking application does. This in turn allows a company to measure desk occupancy making sure they are getting their monies worth from their office space.
The application also allows managers to maintain a database of desks and their features, as well as providing the ability to assign fixed desks, browse an availability calendar, provide floor plans with desk locations and much more. Another great bespoke project that really highlights good use of Claromentis as a framework.

bespoke development
Dyndec is another recently completed bespoke project that once again highlights the versatility of Claromentis. Dyndec are a company that wish to provide other companies with a streamlined and efficient recruitment system. The requirement for this was three consistent, but essentially different visual interfaces. One for a candidate to complete their profile and take a test. The second for the assessor to log in and mark a video of the candidate in role played interview situations. The third for HR managers to add candidates, corresponding videos and assessors. Below are screen shots of all three interfaces.
The great thing about Claromentis is that the framework can be customized to suite so many different systems. Not necessarily for different customers either as Dyndec demonstrates. The impression when logging in to the different interfaces is that they are three different systems set up for three separate functions when in fact they all have Claromentis under the hood. Interesting bespoke projects like this continue to test the flexibility of Claromentis and once again it has catered for the requirements.

Your Installs is a recently completed bespoke project that is a great example of how the flexibility of the Claromentis framework can cater for a wide range of requirements. Your Installs is a company that specialise in providing installation service solutions for electrical goods vendors such as The Sony Centre. The solution provided by Claromentis had to allow shop employees to access information on, and book installation services. Below is a screen shot of the landing page once logged in:

This demonstrates how the Claromentis framework can be stripped right down to a very simple navigational structure emphasising focus on one or two tasks. From this page a user can click a service and be linked directly to an online booking form, or simply download a PDF information sheet on the desired service. There is also a more traditional Claromentis menu along the top which is only visible to an admin.
From start to finish an interesting project and a good demonstration of the versatility of Claromentis.
